Chief Veterinarian
Dr. Deena Leong is our Chief Veterinarian. She is a Holistic Veterinarian who uses both Traditional and Alternative Treatments. She has been practicing in the Tustin and Irvine area for over 8 years. She has great compassion for animals and people and has a wonderful consultative style. She has a gentle touch that endears her furry patients to her and is known to spoil them with gourmet treats! Her human clients appreciate her genuine nature, conservative approach, and personal service.
Dr. Leong has loved animals her entire life and has wanted to be a veterinarian since age 7. She grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii where she learned to appreciate nature and it's healing properties. It was there that she had her first experience with acupuncture and natural nutrition for pets and decided she wanted to be a holistic veterinarian. She moved to Southern California to attend veterinary school and has stayed ever since. She is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences in California where her curriculum allowed her to work in dozens of veterinary practices throughout Southern California. She is certified to do acupuncture on dogs and cats and has completed programs at Colorado State University and the Chi Institute in Florida.
She is an expert in nutrition for dogs and cats and advocates fresh food diets, both homecooked and raw. She has seen firsthand the power that nutrition has in relieving chronic health problems in our pets.
In her spare time, Dr. Leong enjoys cooking, yoga, biking, and spending time with her dog Trixie, a fiesty Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix, who she rescued from New Beginnings."
